CasePortal has four case libraries: Civil Litigation, Bankruptcies, Adversary Proceedings, and Opinions.
To search for cases within a case library, click the menu icon in the top left. You can only select and access a given library if your office has an applicable subscription.
Enter any text into the search box and CasePortal will search for matches across across all database fields. By default, if you make no court selections CasePortal will search for case matches in all courts covered by your subscription(s).
If your search uses a combination of words, you should wrap your search in quotations so that the terms are searched together.
For example, to gets results about slip and fall cases, you should search "slip and fall."
You can also conduct advanced searches in CasePortal by targeting specific values within certain fields. To learn more about advanced searching and other search tips, please read Introduction to Searching for Cases.
